Dozens of Chino Valley High School students learned of the possibility of a great career with YCSO at the school's annual Career Day event October 16th.

YCSO representatives met with students in grades 10-12 during the nearly 5-hour event, and many of the young people showed a great interest in possibly coming on board. Some expressed interest in starting a YCSO career in Detention at one of the two county jail facilities, since those positions are available to 18-year-olds with a high school diploma. Sheriff David Rhodes' first position with YCSO was in Detention three decades ago.

Others said they would like to perhaps enter the agency in dispatching, while others said they were interested in administrative opportunities like the records department or evidence collection. Of course, some of the students wanted to know about becoming a patrol deputy (open to those 21 or older).

If you would like more information about a great career with YCSO, including available positions and outstanding benefits, you may go to ycsojobs.com, or call 928-708-9276. Some positions currently have a $5000 hiring bonus attached.
