TWO FROM YCSO WIN AWARDS AT THE 2024 WOMEN IN LAW ENFORCEMENT LUNCHEON

Five YCSO employees received nominations for the 2024 Women In Law Enforcement awards, including two overall winners:  Director of Behavioral Health Beya Thayer and Detention Officer McKenna Smith.

The awards luncheon, organized and sponsored by YCSO, was held in Prescott on September 18th, with representatives from several law enforcement agencies in the county in attendance, along with many from private businesses which supported the event. Sheriff David Rhodes served as emcee for the luncheon, and the guest speaker was Prescott Valley PD Detective Shayleen Elenz.

Here is a list of nominees and winners in the six award categories for 2024:

Dispatcher of the Year:    Bonnie Newton Prescott PD (winner)
